The Amerex 16445 is a 450°F Job-style quick response fusible link used in the detection network of an Amerex KP commercial-kitchen fire suppression system, sold in a 5-pack. Two metal struts are held together under tension by a small solder pellet; when the surrounding air reaches 450°F the pellet melts, the struts separate, and the release lets the mechanical detection cable trip the system's actuator to discharge the wet chemical agent.
