The Amerex 16579 is a 100-foot length of ¼" pressurized thermal-responsive detection tubing used on Amerex Pneumatic Release Module (PRM) fire suppression systems. The tubing is routed through the hazard area and kept pressurized in a closed loop; if heat from a fire causes the tubing to rupture anywhere along its length, the loss of pressure mechanically actuates the system.
