The Amerex 18156 is the replacement backup battery for the circuit monitors and control panels used in Amerex's vehicle fire suppression detection systems (circuit monitor P/N 17308/17309; control panels P/N 17310/17311). The nickel metal hydride pack keeps the system's supervisory circuit alive if the vehicle's main power is lost, so a bus or off-road vehicle's suppression system stays monitored even with the engine off or the battery disconnected.
