The Amerex 24903 is the replacement battery for the STRIKE ECS Control Unit (P/N 23826), the UL 864-compliant alarm-initiating and release unit at the heart of Amerex's battery-powered STRIKE kitchen fire suppression system. Because the STRIKE system runs without external electrical power, the Control Unit relies on a primary and a backup battery of this type to sustain itself for up to six months between changes.
