The Amerex 9958 is a safety rupture disc used in the nitrogen actuation cylinder of an Amerex KP commercial kitchen fire suppression system, specifically the 10 cubic-inch nitrogen cylinder that drives the system's mechanical actuation. The disc is designed to fail at a set overpressure to protect the cylinder from over-pressurization, and per Amerex's own KP component documentation it must be replaced with a new disc any time that nitrogen cylinder is recharged.
