The Amerex A10167 (Amerex P/N 10167) is a replacement nozzle blow-off cap used on Amerex Vehicle fire suppression systems. It fits over the discharge nozzle to keep grease, road grime, and moisture out of the orifice between inspections, and is designed to be forced off cleanly by agent pressure the instant the system discharges so the nozzle sprays unobstructed. Amerex's own vehicle systems manual calls for inspecting these caps for cracking or damage at every service interval and replacing them individually rather than as part of a larger kit.
