The Amerex A14988 (Amerex P/N 14988) is a nozzle blow-off cap sized for the 3/4 inch male-thread nozzles used across several Amerex KP system nozzle types, including the Local Application Overhead, Tankside, Total Flood, Three-Way, Duct and Plenum, and Screening nozzles. It seals the nozzle opening against grease and cooking residue during normal kitchen operation and is designed to pop free the instant the system discharges, so it also serves as a quick visual indicator - a missing cap shows a nozzle has fired - during a post-discharge inspection.
