The Amerex A18001 is the current Mechanical Release Module (MRM) for Amerex kitchen fire suppression systems, supplied preinstalled in its own stainless steel enclosure. It mechanically links the system's fusible-link detection network to the agent cylinder valve, tripping the discharge when a detection link separates.
Key Features
- Teflon-coated slide plate and collapsible column for smoother, longer-lasting operation
- Detection cable tension is set with a large knurled ratchet wheel and lever, no tools required
- Alignment markings on the housing show when correct cable tension has been reached
- Lowering cable tension to swap out detection links is simplified compared to earlier MRM designs
Technical Specifications
- Enclosure: stainless steel, factory preinstalled
- Same mounting purpose as the non-enclosure MRM (P/N 11977), which is used with the separate Single Tank/MRM Enclosure (P/N 11978)
