The Amerex A3787 is a safety disc (rupture disc) assembly used in Amerex wheeled stored-pressure dry chemical fire extinguishers to protect the agent cylinder from overpressure. If cylinder pressure ever rises beyond the safe operating range, the disc ruptures in a controlled way to vent that pressure before the cylinder itself can be damaged.
