The Amerex A6978 is the brass-valve hose gasket used in Amerex's water mist and wet chemical extinguisher lines, sealing the hose-to-valve connection on models such as the C270/C272 water mist units and the C260/C262 wet chemical (Class K) units. It's a single O-ring, replaced whenever the hose assembly is removed for service or the original gasket has taken a compression set.
