The Amerex C262 is a 2.5-gallon Class K wet chemical fire extinguisher built for commercial kitchens, where cooking-oil and grease fires need an agent that cools as well as smothers. Its potassium acetate-based agent reacts with the hot cooking oil to form a soapy blanket that seals off oxygen and stops re-ignition.
