The Amerex C270 is a 1.75-gallon water mist fire extinguisher built on a polished stainless steel cylinder and brass valve, charged with deionized water rather than plain tap water. Because the agent carries no minerals or additives, the fine misting nozzle produces a spray with no electrical conductivity back to the operator, which is why the C270 is specified in hospitals, telecom rooms, and other spaces where a Class C hazard may be present alongside ordinary combustibles.
