The Ansul 13193 is a 10 lb nitrogen expellant gas cartridge with right-hand thread, sold under Ansul's Model LT-10-R designation for use in Red Line 10 lb cartridge-operated fire extinguishers rated for low-temperature service. Nitrogen cartridges are specified in place of CO2 on Ansul's low-temperature (LT) extinguisher models because nitrogen maintains discharge pressure at temperatures where CO2 cartridges lose effectiveness. It threads into the extinguisher's cartridge receiver and is punctured on activation to pressurize the unit.
