Ansul part 15240 is a maximum registering thermometer rated to 500°F (260°C), used during installation of an Ansul R-102 restaurant fire suppression system to record the highest normal ambient temperature at each protected appliance location. That reading is what determines which temperature-rated fusible link gets installed at that point, so the system trips at the correct threshold rather than nuisance-tripping or under-protecting the hazard.
Key Features
- Establishes the baseline temperature reading used to select the correct fusible link rating
- Used specifically during R-102 system installation and periodic re-certification surveys
Technical Specifications
- Maximum Registering Range: 500°F (260°C)
