The Ansul 416970 is an in-line union fitting with a built-in bursting disc used in Ansul's R-102 restaurant kitchen hood fire suppression piping. Installed in the wet chemical agent distribution line ahead of the nozzles, the disc ruptures at system discharge to release agent through the piping run, and because a burst disc cannot be reused once it has ruptured, this union is a standard part replaced during post-discharge system recharge.
