The Ansul 431186 is a nozzle aiming device adaptor for older-style nozzles on Ansul's R-102 restaurant fire suppression system, letting a nozzle aiming device (used to hold a fixed nozzle aimed at a specific point in the kitchen hazard during installation) mount to nozzle bodies made before Ansul's current adaptor design. It's also sold as part of the complete Nozzle Aiming Device Assembly kit (part 431992), which pairs it with the aiming device itself (part 551265).
