The Apollo 55000-315APO is a two-wire conventional photoelectric smoke detector in Apollo's Series 65 range, distinguished from other Series 65 optical models by its built-in magnetic test switch, which lets a technician trigger a test alarm by passing a magnet over the housing without needing smoke or a canned test aerosol. A pulsing LED inside the housing gives a visible status indication for a quick walk-by check.
