The Apollo ORB-HT-51156 is an intrinsically safe Orbis I.S. CS heat detector with a flashing LED, designed for hazardous and dusty environments where smoke detection would cause false alarms. It monitors ambient temperature using a single thermistor network that produces a voltage output proportional to external air temperature, sampling the reading every 2 seconds and driving its alarm output through a 325Ω series alarm load. The detector head fits Apollo's Orbis I.S. mounting base for use on Apollo XP95/Discovery-protocol fire alarm loops in offshore, refinery, and other Zone-rated hazardous installations.
