The Autocall 2081-9062 is a single-circuit intrinsically safe barrier module used to wire field devices into a hazardous (classified) location from a standard fire alarm control panel. Per Johnson Controls' documentation, it and its two-circuit counterpart the 2081-9063 report an alarm condition to the panel as a current-limited signal rather than a simple contact closure, which is how an intrinsically safe circuit stays within its energy limits.
