The Bosch F220-B6R is a four-wire smoke detector mounting base with a built-in relay output, used with four-wire (externally powered) Bosch smoke detector heads instead of the standard two-wire loop-powered arrangement. The onboard relay lets the base directly drive an auxiliary device, such as a duct damper or fan shutdown relay, whenever the connected detector head goes into alarm.
