The Ditek DTK-2MHLP12BWB is a 12V, 2-pair hybrid surge protection module for low-voltage signaling and communication circuits, supplied on a hardwired Snap-Track base for direct field installation. Like the rest of Ditek's 2MHLP series, it pairs a silicon avalanche diode (SAD) with a gas discharge tube (GDT) for layered protection, and opens the circuit rather than merely clamping once the protection element has been used up, so a failed module can't pass a fault through to connected equipment. The surge element is field-replaceable, letting a technician swap it without disturbing the base wiring.
