The Ditek DTK-MRJPOES is a single-channel surge protector for Power over Ethernet (PoE) runs, installed in-line on shielded RJ45 connections to protect network equipment from transient voltage on the data/power path. It supports data rates up to 10GbE over CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT6A cabling and combines silicon avalanche diode (SAD) and gas discharge tube (GDT) elements in a hybrid protection circuit. Because it's built for shielded twisted-pair (STP) cabling, it doesn't need a separate earth ground connection to function, which simplifies installation in racks and enclosures where a dedicated ground point isn't convenient.
