The DSC RM-2 is an end-of-line power supervisory relay that monitors the power feed to a 4-wire smoke detector, such as the DSC FSA-410 photoelectric detector, and signals a fault condition if the detector stops receiving proper power. It mounts behind the detector in a standard 1.5" double-gang box and is often paired with a PRM-4W polarity reversal module, continuing to operate correctly regardless of which way the loop's polarity is switched.
