The Dynalock 2805 is an electromagnetic door holder used to hold a fire door open in normal operation and release it automatically on a signal from the fire alarm system, letting the door swing closed under its own closer during an alarm. It's a tri-voltage unit, accepting 12VDC, 24VAC/VDC, or 120VAC input on separate wiring terminals, and installs as a two-piece set: a wall- or floor-mounted magnet box and a matching armature plate mounted on the door itself. The magnet box position is set using Dynalock's dimension tables for door width and pivot distance so the armature contacts the magnet squarely when the door is open.
