The Edwards 1500-2 is an electromagnetic door holder for smoke and fire containment in fire alarm-protected buildings. When de-energized by a relay controlled by the fire alarm system, the door automatically closes to prevent spread of smoke and flames, protecting occupant egress routes and compartmentalizing fire damage during emergency conditions.
