The Edwards 1505-AQN5 is an electromagnetic door holder that keeps a self-closing, swinging fire/smoke door open during normal building use and releases it automatically the instant it's activated by a fire alarm, smoke detection, or sprinkler system signal, letting the door swing shut and maintain its fire-rated compartmentation. It flush/wall-mounts with a total projection of 2-5/8", is built from die-cast metal with a baked polyester powder-paint finish for corrosion resistance, and holds the door with 25 to 50 lbs of magnetic force depending on adjustment.
