The Edwards 278B-1420 is a non-coded, double-action manual fire alarm pull station from the 278B/279B Series, built with a contemporary-styled Lexan (polycarbonate) housing. Activating the station requires two deliberate motions rather than one, which helps reduce accidental or false activations, and the unit reports through a double-pole contact arrangement with one normally-open and one normally-closed circuit for field wiring. After activation, the station is restored to normal only by unlocking it with the compatible key.
