The Edwards 3-SSDC is a Single Signature Driver Controller module for the EST3 fire alarm control panel, providing the interface between the EST3 CPU and one Signature Series data circuit of intelligent detectors and modules. The module carries its own on-board microprocessor to coordinate and interpret communication with Signature devices, operating as part of EST3's distributed-intelligence architecture where each field device also carries its own processor.
