The Edwards 46E is an insulated rolling ball contactor -- a pressure-activated momentary switch that closes when tilted or jarred in any direction, commonly used as a low-voltage door or vibration alarm switch. It requires no mortise for installation and is rated for 12 to 48 VAC/VDC coil voltages with a maximum load current between 0.5 and 2 amperes depending on the voltage used.
