The Edwards 512-A is a flush-mount grille used to cover and protect 4", 6", or 10" adaptable notification bells (and compatible with 338 & 339 Series chimes), giving the appliance a flat white finish suited to office and commercial spaces where a subtler notification device look is wanted. The grille fully encloses the bell, which also helps deter tampering and vandalism.
