The Edwards CRB4U-1 is a 4" square-mount detector base with an integral relay, designed for use with Edwards EST EC series smoke and heat detectors. Installed in place of a standard base, it lets a detector directly switch an external circuit -- such as a fan shutdown or door holder release -- when the detector alarms, without needing a separate control module.
