The Edwards SAN-CPU is the microprocessor controller card at the heart of Edwards' Serial Annunciator Network (SAN) enclosures, providing power supply and RS-485 data line interface functions. At least one SAN-CPU card is required per SAN enclosure, and it acts as an intelligent processing core for serial annunciator panels within an Edwards EST fire alarm system.

- Monitors up to 96 inputs (switches, SIN-16 circuits) and 96 outputs (LEDs, relay drivers)
- Consumes a single panel address on the data line and can be configured as a system control center
- Connects via ribbon cable to SAN option modules for customized annunciator configurations
- Onboard LEDs indicate polling status; DIP switches set the panel address
