The Edwards (EST) SIGA-MAB is a universal Class A/B UIO plug-in module for Signature Series addressable loops, and its actual function on the loop — a Class A or Class B initiating device circuit, a two-wire smoke detector circuit, or a notification appliance circuit — is set by a personality code chosen at installation rather than by a dedicated hardware version. Its address is downloaded from the loop controller, a PC, or the SIGA-PRO Signature Program/Service Tool, with no address switches or dials to set in the field, and an integral microprocessor with on-board green/red LEDs reports precise device status back to the panel.
