The Edwards SIGA-PD-RC is a reconditioned, intelligent optical smoke detector from the Signature Series, using forward-scattering photoelectric sensing to catch the small combustion particles typical of slow-burning, smoldering fires. Its onboard microprocessor continuously analyzes analog sensor data against historical trends and applies digital filtering to reduce nuisance alarms, and it offers five selectable sensitivity settings plus automatic day/night sensitivity adjustment and two-stage dirty-detector warning so degrading performance is flagged before it becomes a false-alarm or missed-alarm problem. It works only with an Edwards Signature Loop Controller and accepts standard, relay, isolator, or audible bases.
