The Edwards SIGA2-HCOS is a Signature Series intelligent addressable heat detector with an integrated carbon monoxide (CO) sensor daughterboard, combining fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise heat detection with CO sensing in a single device. It is designed for use on Edwards Signature Series fire alarm control panels, communicating digitally over the signaling line circuit to help identify developing fire conditions earlier and reduce nuisance alarms. Note: the SIGA2-HCOS has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is replaced by the SIGA-HCD.
Key Features
- Combination fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise heat detection with an integrated carbon monoxide sensor
- On-board microprocessor analyzes heat and CO sensor readings against historical data, using digital filtering to reduce false/nuisance alarms
- Field-replaceable CO sensor/daughterboard module using a replaceable electrochemical cell
- Electronic addressing with automatic device mapping and per-module ground fault detection
- Bicolor (green/red) status LED and non-volatile memory
- Compatible with standard, relay, fault-isolator, and audible mounting bases
