The Faraday 8700-S is a single-action addressable manual pull station that communicates directly with the fire alarm control panel over the addressable device circuit, functioning as an Intelligent Initiating Device with two-way panel communication. Pulling the recessed lever locks it in the down position and holds the activated state until the station is physically reset by unlocking the hinged housing with an Allen key. The device is polarity insensitive and is addressed in the field using the Faraday 8720 Device Programmer/Tester.
