The Faraday 8712 is an addressable thermal (heat) detector designed to plug into a standard Faraday detector base and report directly to the fire alarm control panel over the addressable device circuit. It uses a fixed 135°F alarm set point with a rate-of-rise option enabled through the control unit, and communicates status using the same tri-color LED protocol as Faraday's other FireSmart addressable detectors — green for normal, amber for trouble, and red for alarm.
