The Faraday (Siemens) 8712-RC is a reconditioned, two-wire addressable thermal detector that uses a solid-state thermistor to sense heat, responding at a 135°F fixed temperature setpoint. It communicates over a fault-tolerant, polarity-insensitive two-wire loop (either line can serve as Line 1 or Line 2) and mounts to the matching 8853 series detector base, drawing roughly 1mA in standby for compatibility with Faraday's addressable loop budgets.
Key Features
- Two-wire, polarity-insensitive addressable connection
- Multi-color status LED (green/amber/red) for local alarm/trouble indication
- Field-programmable address via the Faraday 8720 field programmer
- Low-profile detector housing
