The Fike 55-046 is an addressable monitor module with built-in short-circuit isolators, cross-referenced in Fike's own catalog as the EM-1MI design. It monitors the normally open contacts of an auxiliary initiating device while also supervising the field wiring for open circuits via an end-of-line resistor, and its on-board isolators keep a wiring short on the signaling line circuit from taking down more than the one affected device. The module supports both Class A and Class B circuit wiring configurations on Fike's intelligent addressable fire alarm loop.
