The Fire King 6273 is a fill cap for cartridge-operated fire extinguisher cylinders, sealed with a Buna quad-ring gasket and built to the Ansul 232-style specification used on hand-portable 10, 20, and 30 lb systems. Screwed into the cylinder's fill port after recharging, the quad-ring creates a leak-proof seal that keeps the extinguishing agent contained under pressure until the unit is discharged. Buna (nitrile) is the standard gasket material for this application because of its resistance to the dry and wet chemical agents used in these systems.
