The Gentex S is a 120VAC hardwired smoke alarm built around multi-criteria photoelectric sensing technology, designed to significantly reduce nuisance alarms caused by cooking while still reliably detecting both smoldering and fast-flaming fires. Intended for residential and light commercial dwelling units, it interconnects with other Gentex tandem-capable alarms to form a coordinated whole-building notification system.
