The Globe Technologies G450K is a 450°F (232°C) rated K-style fusible link, built with bronze components and the solid eye-to-eye connection common to Globe's K series but set to a higher trip point than the standard 165°F or 360°F versions. It's intended for linkages near equipment or in spaces that run hotter than ordinary ambient conditions, where a lower-rated link would separate too early. The broad load range of the K series lets it cover general fire damper and closer duty rather than the specialized high-load range hood work of Globe's A-series.
