The Hochiki HPS-DAK-SR is a dual-action manual pull station built specifically for the manual release of fire suppression systems such as FM-200, CO2, or pre-action sprinkler systems, rather than for general building fire alarm initiation. Its high-visibility yellow die-cast metal housing distinguishes it at a glance from a standard red building pull station, meeting the code requirement to separate suppression-release stations from ordinary alarm stations, and its lift-and-pull motion is meant to prevent an accidental discharge of an expensive suppression agent.
