The Hochiki NS4-221 is an electronics-free conventional detector base with a built-in resistor for circuit supervision and a plastic tamper-lock lug to hold the detector head securely. It is available in bone (off-white) or white to match the finish of the Hochiki smoke or heat detector it carries, and for installations that need more than a plain base, the related HSC-(X)R models in the same family add relay contacts, latching outputs, or a 4-wire 24 V configuration.
