The Hochiki SOE-24H is a combination smoke and heat detector built for high-performance fire detection in demanding environments, including battery energy storage rooms and containers where nuisance alarms are especially costly. It uses multi-spectrum smoke categorization to accurately distinguish smoldering fires, flaming fires, and polyurethane-fuel fires from ordinary particulates, holding a high signal-to-noise ratio and automatic drift compensation to keep sensitivity stable over time. A built-in magnetic test feature and a break-away, hidden locking mechanism for use with NS bases round out its design for demanding, high-risk installations.
