The JL Industries 5042 is a replacement Lexan (polycarbonate) cam for the Standard Lock mechanism used on JL Industries fire extinguisher cabinets. The cam is the plastic latch piece inside the door lock assembly that engages the strike plate to hold the cabinet closed; JL stocks it as an individual spare so a worn or damaged cam can be replaced without swapping out the entire lock.
