The Kidde-Fenwal 27120-0-140 is a Detect-A-Fire rate-compensated heat detector with a vertical brass sensing head, set to a 140°F fixed-temperature trip point with normally-closed contacts. It combines fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise detection principles in one sensing element, so it responds both to a slow-building overheat condition and to a rapid temperature spike.
