The Kidde GSA-IM is an addressable isolator module that protects a signaling line circuit (SLC) from a wire-to-wire short. When it detects a short, it opens the SLC at that point, isolating the fault between the two nearest isolator modules so the rest of the loop keeps operating instead of losing every device on the circuit.
Key Features
- Automatically isolates a wire-to-wire short on the SLC without taking down the whole loop
- Continuously monitors line voltage to detect fault conditions
- Requires only one detector address on the SLC
Technical Specifications
- Function: SLC short-circuit isolator module
- Addressing: Requires one detector address, electronically assigned
- Class X installation: Install on Class B out / Class A return wiring inside the control unit, or within 20 ft (6.1 m) in the same room, in conduit or equivalently protected wiring
Certifications
- UL Listed isolator module for addressable fire alarm signaling line circuits
