The Kidde KC2-OSH combines photoelectric smoke sensing with a heat-sensing element in a single two-wire detector head for the EC2 series base line. Running on a two-wire initiating circuit, it reports alarm and trouble conditions from either sensing element back to the panel over the same pair used to power it, and carries an S10A compatibility ID so a supporting panel recognizes it as a valid device type on the loop. Combining both sensing methods in one head is typically used where a space needs heat detection alongside smoke detection without installing two separate devices.
Key Features
- Combination photoelectric smoke and heat sensing in one detector head
