The Kidde KC2-SB4 is the same standard EC2-series detector mounting base as the KC2-SB, sized instead to install directly into a 4-inch electrical box rather than a standard octagon box. It provides the wiring terminals and twist-lock mount for a compatible EC2-series smoke or heat detector head, without any relay or isolator circuitry built in.
